Mike Tryon has been officially endorsed by the Chicago Tribune, the Northwest Herald, the Daily Herald, and the Pioneer Press. Links or scans of each endorsement are located below. On Octiber 26, the Chicago Tribune endorsed Mike by posting the following:
"64th District (far northwest suburbs): Republican Rep. Michael Tryon is endorsed over Democrat Robert Kaempfe of Crystal Lake."
In their October 24 endorsement, the editors of the Northwest Herald said:
“Tryon has proven to be tremendously effective.” They went on to say:
“Tryon deserves to be re-elected.” On October 23, the editorial board of the Daily Herald had this to say about Mike Tryon:
“[Tryon] brings to the Capitol an impressive background in business and science.” They also said:
“His personal charisma, perceptive ways and reputation as a consensus builder make him a perfect fit for a troubled Springfield.” On October 9, editors from the Pioneer Press, which publishes the Algonquin Countryside, said:
“State Representative Mike Tryon, R-64, has earned voters' support for another term.” They also said:
“Tryon is a credible advocate for this area.” With regard to Tryon's opponent, the editorial board had this to say:
